Off with the training wheels

Audrey wanted to ride her bike this afternoon so we headed out to Zuanich Point Park because it has flat paved pathways and it's gorgeous. Alex took the training wheels off Cole's radical stunt bike (thank you Max and Hayley!).

Audrey prepares for the ride while Alex fills everyone's tires with air. She insisted on the boots and swim cover up. She is very fashion forward!

Cole was apprehensive about riding without training wheels. He asked to wear knee and elbow pads. Here Audrey is helping him by holding onto the handle bars just as she'd seen Alex do.

Baby came along on the outing. Audrey loves all things to do with babies both real and doll babies. She always notices them in their mother's arms or in a stroller and wants to "say hi, baby".

There was a wedding both at this park and across the water at the Bellwether Hotel. This is the biggest kite I think I've ever seen.

Another view of the wedding kites - great idea.

Cole did manage to coast on his own for short distances but he needs to work on balancing. He remains very scared of falling and not determined to figure this whole 2 wheel bike riding thing out just yet. More practice! Our neighborhood is awful for bike riding - too many hills and cars. We'll have to find good places to practice and go more often.

Audrey gave it a try too.
